EDUCATION

  • Sep. 2005 - present: Ph.D. candidate in Bioinformatics, Laboratory of Computational Molecular Biology, College of Life Sciences, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China.
  • Sep. 2001 - Jul. 2005: B.S. in Computer Science and Technology, College of Computer Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China.

AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS

  • 2008-2009 QiuShi Scholarship for Excellent Graduates, Beijing Normal University

RESEARCH & INTERESTS

Employing proteomic data of Escherichia coli, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Schizosaccharomyces pombe, genome-wide analyses protein sequences to discuss the relationship of protein evolution and elemental composition in amino acid.

Basing on high-throughput whole sequenced genomes, analyse amino acid compostion in different functional gene categories.

In addition, I also focus on problems about gene expression, functional categorization of genes and phylogenetic analysis. I think I will become interested in the project which needs the knowledge and technique of bioinformatics, computer science (like Web application) and statistics.
